When you finish bathing, get out of the shower or the bath tub you can just take a towel and blot them dry. The string in your waist beads will not mildew. We use authentic glass seed beads in our designs and our beads will hold their color even through bathing. Keep in mind that depending on the strength, types of soap, and/or body scrub that you use, there can be some discoloration that occurs on your beads over time.

Can Waist Beads Be Adjusted?

Tie-on waist beads can be adjusted if they are too big once you tie them on. Once tied, if they are too tight, or uncomfortable due to snugness, then there is no way to adjust a tie on waist bead. If you lose weight and your waist beads are loose enough for you to step out of them they may be able to be adjusted by cutting and retying.

How Many Waist Beads Can I Wear?

If you are new to wearing waist beads, we recommend that you start with at least 3 waist bead strands. If you’ve never worn waist beads before, it takes some time to get used to wearing beads around your waist. Waist beads are also very comfortable, and as you were them over time it’s quite easy to forget they are on. Wearing 3 or more strands to start out, helps you to be mindful of not breaking them, because the more that you have on, the more you’ll feel them in the beginning.
